• 2014 Mohammed Dahleh Distinguished Lectureship (UC Santa Barbara).This award has been created to honor the memory, innovative spirit, and contributions of Mohammed Dahleh to our scientific community and to the University of California, Santa Barbara. Awardees are selected based on their pioneering work, extraordinary accomplishments, and promise for exceptional contributions. Awardees are invited to deliver the Mohammed Dahleh Distinguished Lecture at UCSB in the second half of the academic year.

• October 31, 2013: NIH grant to study 3-dimensional reconstructions of genomes (SFSU PI J. Arsuaga, co-investigator Mariel Vazquez; UCSF PI Mark Segal, co-investigator A. Nadav) 

2012

• July 2012: I was one of 96 scientists and engineers to receive a PECASE (Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers) Award from the White House

• In 2011, I received an NSF CAREER Award.
