The Third All-UC Roundtable Sponsored by UCOP ADVANCE PAID

This one-day Roundtable (9:00am-4:45pm) will convene UC faculty and academic administrators who play key roles in recruitment and retention of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) faculty.The keynote speaker, Dr.Shirley Malcolm (Head of Education at AAAS), will discuss the national imperative for a more diverse STEM faculty and address mentoring issues.In addition, UC faculty and administrators will present research and practice in building and keeping a stronger UC faculty, including the following panels:

  • Mentoring Through the President’s Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

  • Mid-Career Mentoring

  • Supporting Early-career STEM Faculty at UC

  • What is My Role in Increasing the Diversity of STEM Faculty?
